Meet Mia Aguimatang, our Social Engagement Intern!

Meet Mia Aguimatang, our Social Engagement Intern! The Social Engagement Intern will focus on social media campaigns to engage more collegiate members in the national organization, build connections amongst members, and educate in a way members best receive information.

Mia is a media studies major at San Diego State University. She is a first-generation student and a professional dancer. She created her own nonprofit, Bridge the Gap, to preserve Filipino heritage, hosting community events and fundraisers. She’s most excited about building a sustainable marketing strategy and making Mortar Board a more visible organization on campuses nationwide. Fun fact: Mia was born at exactly midnight, so her parents had the option to choose between two dates for her birthday!

Meet Abigail Stem, our Chapter Research & Archives

Meet Abigail Stem, our Chapter Research & Archives Intern. The Chapter Research & Archives Intern will work with chapters to document history, current projects, and ensure the good work of chapters is well-documented.

Abigail is a Global Studies and General Studies major at Texas Tech University, concentrating in Arabic, history, and political science. On campus, she works in the Vietnam Center, where she sorts through hundreds of documents, records, and photos and creates special collections in their library. She’s most excited about working with chapters to document and preserve their history and sharing it nationally to highlight Mortar Board’s rich history. Fun fact: Abigail has a blue belt in karate.
