Mortar Board Member Badge

Adding a Badge to Your Honors and Awards Section of Your LinkedIn Profile

1. Download the image above
2. Login to LinkedIn and go to your profile
3. Add or edit the “Honors & awards Section”
4. Create the Mortar Board Honor & Award
5. Fill in the required sections with the information below (see example image #1 below):
   • Title: Mortar Board National College Honor Society Member
   • Associated With (optional): If you have listed your Mortar Board involvement under your “experience” you can use the drop down menu connect your Experience with Honors & Awards
   • Issuer: Mortar Board National College Honor Society
   • Issue Date: Select the Month and Year of your induction
   • Description (Copy and paste this description, or write your own): “Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college juniors and seniors for exceptional achievement in scholarship, leadership, and service. Members are selected for their commitment to academic excellence, community impact, and leadership both on campus and beyond.”
6. Add Your Member Badge as Media (see example image #2 below): Add media and upload the “Member Badge”
   • • When you upload the media you will need to “name” the media.
     • Title: Mortar Board Member Badge
7. Save the media and then save your Mortar Board Member section of Honors & Awards
8. Share your recognition and accomplishment with your network! (Scroll to the next section for details on posting)

4. Add a photo to your post (optional). You can include an image of your initiation ceremony, chapter event, or you can use the “Member Badge Image”.
   • Adding an image is optional, but strongly recommended as it aids in visibility of your post.
5. Post and engage with those who might comment or engage with your post.
